Meet Dr. Amy L. Heim

 
 
“I believe wholeheartly that managing a patient’s dental wellness can not only improve their confidence but also improve their overall health.”

Born and raised here in Scioto County, I was always trying to create masterpieces using art and craft supplies.  In high school, that love for art continued as I would stay up late painting to complete my latest art project. Sometimes, you could even catch me walking around the school with a paintbrush in my hair!   I had dreams of pursuing art and design, but after high school graduation, I discovered a calling for dentistry after shadowing a female dentist. Dentistry for me is the perfect combination of art and science!  Locally, an alumnus of both Wheelersburg High School and Shawnee State University, I completed my dental training at Ohio State College of Dentistry. Upon graduation from Ohio State, I married my best friend, Adam, who is a constant source of love and support.

 

My dental team and I practice relationship-based dentistry-- taking time to hear your stories and understand your own individual needs. I strongly value continuous growth and learning and have studied at the prestigious Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education since 2013.This has profoundly influenced my philosophy of dentistry and has shaped the way I partner with my patients. Because of my sincerest gratitude for the technical and behavioral gifts of the Pankey Institute, I now serve as a Pankey Advisor and visiting faculty member.  I believe wholeheartedly that managing a patient’s dental wellness can not only improve their confidence but also improve their overall health.  I’m also committed to using my love for art to design naturally beautiful smiles.

 

Outside of dentistry, my husband and I enjoy being with our families, traveling to National Parks, cooking, gardening, cycling, and enjoying our Labradoodle “Lily”. My heart has always been in Southern Ohio, and I feel extremely proud to “live, work, love, and play” where my roots have always been---in Scioto County.

I am blessed to be able to serve this community and I would like to invite you into my “Dental Studio” where we promise to elevate your standard of dentistry

Misty has been working in the dental field for over 23 years as an assistant and takes great pride in providing an environment where patients feel safe, understood, and welcomed. Working with this practice specifically for over 17 years, Misty enjoys watching families grow and assisting them with all their dental needs.

Hosting our dental studio experience from the first moment you open our door, Hope offers smiles, laughter, warmth and direction with over 25 years of dental expertise. Hope’s lighthearted and joyful nature can always be experienced as she assists patients with their scheduling, treatment, and financial needs.

Passionate about providing the best dental hygiene services to her patients, Rose has been with our dental team as a registered dental hygienist for over 6 years. Rose pursues excellence in all that she does including helping our patients achieve dental and overall wellness through her genuine and caring personality.

Working as a dental assistant in this practice for over 16 years, Angela provides exceptional chairside service to her dental patients during treatment making sure patients are comfortable, calm, and smiling. Angela enjoys the laughter and fun that is possible when patients feel at ease in our studio.

With over 24 years of experience as a dental hygienist, Angela promises to deliver exceptional dental hygiene care during your visit. Calm and gentle by nature, hygiene was a true calling for Angela who also serves as adjunct faculty at Shawnee State University Dental Hygiene Clinic.
